Who we are and what this covers
Ackuity Inc ("Ackuity", "we", "us") is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. It covers our website, inquiries, marketing communications, events and business relationships. Ackuity provides the Agent Execution Control Switch for AI agents.
Information processed on behalf of a customer through our products is governed by the applicable customer agreement and data processing terms. This policy does not replace those terms. If a customer controls your information, direct requests about that information to the customer.
What we collect
You may give us your name, work email, employer, role, contact details, interests, messages, survey responses and other information when you contact us, request access, attend an event or interact with our team. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information, passwords or confidential customer data through general website forms.
Our website and providers may collect IP addresses, device and browser information, approximate location inferred from IP address, referring pages, pages viewed, interactions, timestamps and cookie or similar identifiers. We may associate website activity with a business contact where permitted and consistent with your choices.
We may also receive business contact information from colleagues, event organizers, partners, public professional sources or service providers, where permitted. We use browser storage to remember survey invitations and completion.
How we use information
We use information to respond to requests; provide demonstrations, services and support; manage relationships and contracts; conduct research; improve our website and offerings; measure campaigns; and send relevant business communications, subject to applicable requirements and your choices.
We also use information to operate and secure our systems, prevent misuse and fraud, troubleshoot problems, maintain records, comply with law, and establish, exercise or defend legal claims. We may create and use aggregated or de-identified information for research, planning and business analysis, subject to applicable law.
For the State of AI Agents survey, we report findings in aggregate and contact participants only when they request it, as stated in the survey invitation. More specific notices provided when information is collected apply to that collection.
Who may receive information
We may disclose information to providers supporting hosting, communications, CRM, analytics, advertising, surveys, professional advice and other business operations. Providers process information under the applicable arrangements; some, including advertising platforms, also process information for their own purposes as described in their notices.
We may share relevant information with affiliates and business partners where necessary for a requested engagement or otherwise permitted by law and the notice provided to you. We may also disclose information with your direction or consent; to comply with legal process; to protect rights, safety or security; or in connection with a proposed or completed merger, financing, restructuring, asset transfer or similar business transaction, subject to applicable safeguards.
Our grounds for processing
Where a legal basis is required, we rely on consent when required, steps requested before entering a contract or performance of a contract, legal obligations, and legitimate interests where permitted. Those interests include running and securing our business, responding to inquiries, developing products, understanding website use and communicating with business contacts. We assess those interests against individuals’ rights and expectations.
You may withdraw consent for future processing. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out lawfully or processing supported by another applicable basis. Simply visiting this website does not constitute consent to processing that legally requires it.
How long we keep information
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here. Relevant factors include the information’s nature and sensitivity, our relationship with you, the need to respond to inquiries or provide services, applicable limitation periods, legal obligations, disputes and recordkeeping needs. We may retain limited records of privacy requests and marketing objections to respect your preferences.
When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it, subject to applicable requirements and backup cycles. We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information and risks. No system or transmission method is completely secure.
Where information is processed
Ackuity and its providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Privacy laws may differ from those in your country. Where required, transfers must be supported by applicable safeguards, such as approved contractual protections or another legally recognized mechanism. Contact us for information about safeguards relevant to your data.
Privacy rights and requests
Depending on your location and the law that applies, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of personal information; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; or opt out of certain advertising, sales or sharing. These rights are subject to legal conditions and exceptions. We may retain information where legally permitted, including for security, compliance or legal claims.
Contact Vinod Vasudevan at info@ackuity.ai with the subject "Privacy request" and describe your request. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity or an authorized representative’s authority. We respond within applicable legal time limits. Where applicable, you may appeal a decision by replying to our response or complain to your local data protection authority. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in the message or by contacting us. Necessary service or relationship communications may continue. Where applicable law requires recognition of browser-based opt-out signals, those requirements apply independently of this policy.
External services, children and updates
Third-party websites and services linked from our site have their own privacy practices. This policy does not govern their independent activities.
Our website is intended for business audiences, not children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can assess the situation and take appropriate action.
We may update this policy as our business, technologies or legal obligations change. We will update the date and provide additional notice or obtain consent where required for material changes. Updates do not override rights provided by applicable law.
