What the distinction means.

AI agent security is part of the broader AI security discipline. The narration’s “says versus does” distinction highlights action and delegation risks; AI security also includes model, data, infrastructure and application protection.

Guardrails, harnesses, identity controls, sandboxes and gateways provide complementary protections. Their placement and coverage vary. A gateway can govern traffic routed through it; evaluate which actions and context your actual integration exposes.

Ackuity describes its Goldilocks zone as not inside the agent, not at the gateway. Its supported routes include a sidecar and the Copilot Studio API integration; event pull is observe-only. The video’s no-code-change statement does not mean every deployment has identical setup or action coverage.

The Agent Security Context Graph combines the relevant user, agent, task, target, tool and history signals available to an integration. Small language models contribute detection signals alongside deterministic rules and behavioral baselines; an LLM does not generate the authorization verdict. The stated 40 to 100 ms is decision time, not end-to-end overhead.

Hugging Face’s count of about 17,600 recovered agent actions covers July 9 to 13, 2026 and includes external staging. It is not a count of actions all occurring inside Hugging Face production. IDC’s 2029 figures and Gartner’s 2027 cancellations figure are forecasts, not observed totals.

What is AI agent security?

AI agent security protects agent identities, tools, data, memory, delegated authority and actions. It complements broader AI security by addressing what agents can access and execute across a workflow.

How does Ackuity differ from an AI agent kill switch?

A kill switch provides containment at the capability, agent or system scope it implements. Ackuity focuses on context-aware decisions about supported individual actions, with whole-agent termination reserved for severe cases. Selective action control and emergency containment serve different needs.

Does the video demonstrate a successful Ackuity prevention test?

No. This is a narrated introduction, not a captured product test. An enforcement evaluation needs the tested integration, policy, request, decision and matching target-system outcome.

Does Ackuity require a sidecar for Copilot Studio?

No. Ackuity supports an API integration for Microsoft Copilot Studio. A Kubernetes sidecar is a different deployment route. Event-pull collection is observe-only; verify coverage and prerequisites for the route being evaluated.

Does an LLM decide whether an action is authorized?

No LLM generates Ackuity’s authorization verdict. Small language models supply detection signals alongside deterministic policy checks and behavioral baselines. Decision timing is distinct from end-to-end integration overhead.
