Wall Street Security Leader Patrick Forbes Joins Ackuity as Advisor

September 24, 2026 — Ackuity, the execution control layer for AI agents, today announced that Patrick Forbes has joined as an advisor. Forbes has spent 25 years leading security and technology risk on Wall Street. Most recently he was VP and Global Head of Cybersecurity & Technology Risk at S&P Global and Divisional CISO for S&P Global Ratings. He also teaches in the Executive CISO program at Carnegie Mellon University.

At S&P Global, Forbes was responsible for cyber and technology risk across a global financial information and ratings business, from risk governance and compliance to regulatory engagement. He also advises early-stage data security companies.

His appointment comes as companies move AI agents from pilots into production. These agents read data, call tools and APIs, pass work to other agents, and take actions that are hard to undo. Most AI security tools so far, such as AI firewalls and prompt filters, check what goes into a model and what comes out. They can’t see what the agent does next.

Ackuity checks each action before it runs. It sits beside the agent in the execution path and reviews every tool call, database query, memory access and hand-off to another agent in full context. Each action is checked against policy, compliance rules and more than 60 threat models mapped to NIST, OWASP and MITRE ATLAS, then allowed, constrained or blocked. Forbes will advise Ackuity on product and go-to-market for banks and other regulated industries, with a focus on what CISOs and risk leaders need to see before they let agents into production.
